About Us

 The SVRA Board and volunteers utilize the Grant-in-aid funds with community partners to create a diverse, inclusive variety of public events and workshop opportunities. 

Advocate for common local, regional, provincial or national issues and  encourage cooperation and knowledge sharing between all parties and stakeholders involved in community building activities/events in BC. 

Provide a wide range of resources, tools and community activities/events to its members and the community at large. Liaise with other local, provincial, Indigenous/First Nations, national and international organizations on issues of mutual interest and/or concern. 

Foster cooperative working relationships with governments, the business community, public agencies, volunteer associations/societies, Indigenous/First Nations and other non-government organizations to enhance the rural community lifestyle. 

To remain as a strictly not for profit organization that is able to accept donations and gifting for the betterment of the membership.
